Came here for lunch with my mom on a day we had wanted to dine at Mandalay Morning Star in Covina. Unfortunately Mandalay was closed on a Tuesday. So glad we found this spot! Pros: quite an extensive menu with lots of exciting food items. We ordered the traditional tea leaf salad, rainbow salad, the soft fried yellow tofu, and coconut jelly for dessert, and everything was delicious! Presentation was beautiful and portions were generous. Service: welcoming, though could use a check in once food is served to ensure everything was ok or if we would like to order anything else. Pricing: fair and affordable Ample free parking in a small strip mall Cons: the aroma of the restaurant smelled a tad musty. Will be back to try other dishes!

Came here on it's opening day and was excited to try Burmese food. We ordered shrimp fried rice and fried flat noodle with sausage. Both tasted really good. A bit light on decor however they said they will decorate within a week. Definitely coming back for more and gonna try the curry next.

Came here for lunch and had seating available for party of 5. Their spicy shrimp dish was loaded with tons of fried shallots. Catfish dish was tasty too. Tea leaf salad was interesting textures and very aromatic.

Ordered a Paratha with Peas, Rainbow Salad, Catfish Curry, and Deep Fried Bean Sprout & Shrimp with Noodle Salad. The paratha with peas paste is a recommended starter for your meal. The still warm paratha is cut in easy slices and the pea paste is easy to apply to this bread. The Rainbow salad includes yellow wheat noodle, rice noodle, vermicelli, red and green cabbage, carrot, cucumber, garlic oil, potato, fish sauce, fried onion, dried shrimp powder, fried soy tofu, chick pea flour and tofu, and marinated sauce. All of this is pre-mixed and it comes with a light pepper soup on the side. This was quite a large portion and is not just a simple appetizer. The Catfish curry was alright, it wasn’t too fishy and it also wasn’t too salty. A personal preference but I would consider sticking to land animal meats like beef or pork for curries. And the Deep fried bean sprout and shrimp with noodle salad was a great pick if you’re craving a noodle dish. The fried bean sprout had cooled off awhile when it arrived so it’s not a complete hot dish. The deep fried bean sprout were fun to have and had a nice crunch when you chewed. The shrimp were decently sized shrimp which was good and the noodle ratio was not bad. This was visually appealing too with the inlay of lettuce in between. Service was fast and very patient with our order. Interior is nicely decorated with a lot of cultural elements and also selling a lot of Burmese specialty foods and knickknacks. It does get busy during the dinner rush so plan to arrive accordingly.

Came here with a group, so we ordered a lot of food and just shared the plates. The food was good. Some were exceptional, some were average, some missed the mark. The coconut chicken noodle was probably my favorite fish, favorite side was the tofu and close second was the water spinach, and favorite appetizer was a flat pastry stuffed with chicken.segiced with pickled onions (can't remember the name, but it's the last option in the appetizer section). The Faluda (or falooda) missed the mark. The egg pudding felt more like a white gelatin. The vermicelli we're okay, and the drink itself was okay.
